Pictures part 2

Hello all! It's been a few weeks. I don't mean to ignore the blog, but I have been feeling... tired. I never felt like this while pregnant with Payton; with her I felt no different up until my water broke and I gave birth. However the last week or two I have just been slowing down, for lack of a better term. I feel very uncomfortable, I'm not sleeping much, and by the time my work day is over I feel physically and mentally exhausted. I'm not trying to be a complainer, I have had very blessed pregnancies, but I would be lying if I said I'm not looking forward to the end! My c-section date is just 3 weeks away... only 21 more days to go! I have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning, and then after that I will start going weekly. I have a pre-op appointment next week with Dr. McCann, who is the doctor I chose to do my c-section. I just really clicked with her, and liked her immediately. Kyle hasn't met her yet, so I'm glad he will get the opportunity to before the big day!

I finally got around to editing more of the maternity pictures my friend did for me, who by the way had her own baby! Congrats to Jamie on the birth of her beautiful baby boy Bradyn! :) I can't wait to get a picture of our little guys together!

As excited and ready as I am for this baby to get here, I'm also starting to feel the nerves... I've been reading up on breastfeeding again, which I'm really hoping goes better than last time, and I'm also anxious about how Payton is going to react to another person taking the attention away from her. That is one blessed little girl who has never had to share the attention! I have some presents for her baby brother to "give" to her when she visits us in the hospital, and I've been talking to her a lot about how much I love her and she's going to be my big helper when the new baby gets here... I just can't predict how she's going to react! She has been acting out a little bit lately, but it's hard to tell if she's just acting her age or if she's doing it knowing that a big change is coming. She's just been having meltdowns at the drop of a  hat, and throwing tantrums when she doesn't get her way... gotta love the age of 3! I've been putting her to bed a little earlier the last few nights, and that actually has seemed to help with her moods throughout the day, so I'll definitely be keeping that up. It's harder to put her to bed on time in the summer, because it's nice out and I want to be out doing things too! Plus I try to be flexible, I don't want to be "that parent" that has to have a strict schedule or their world doesn't function, but I need to remember that Payton actually does really well with a schedule, and if it's best for her than whatever works. I won't be the mom of little babies forever; in fact, it will fly by way too fast!

Kyle and I decided to get a pool membership this summer at a country club in Albany! I went as a guest with a friend and her daughters, and was immediately sold. Payton has such a blast, and they have a kiddie pool that is the perfect height for her. Not to mention poolside service for the adults, doesn't get much better than that! We're going to be using it a LOT this summer!

Other than that, nothing much new with us! Kyle's school year is officially over, but this week he is teaching summer school and also coaching a middle school basketball camp. He's really looking forward to his time off! 

Anyway, time for me to go try to get some sleep... I think my body is just preparing me for the sleepless nights with a newborn! I can't wait! :)

Maternity pictures

A few that is... I've been a little slow on the editing process, it's a lot more work than I thought! I think I'm going to have to post these in "sections", otherwise known as "when I get a bunch more done I'll blog them". Hope you enjoy, and thank you so much to my friend Jamie for taking them! :)

34 weeks tomorrow! Crazy to think that in just 3 weeks he will be considered full term. I'm starting to get really excited now that it's getting so close! I'm definitely feeling more and more ready, I'm more uncomfortable this time around than I was with Payton. I'm having a lot more trouble sleeping, which doesn't help with the fatigue that I feel anyway, and I'm starting to have the "waddle" walk, which I never really had before. I'm also having troubles going to the bathroom (sorry, TMI); going often, not going all the way, feeling like I have to go but nothing happening. Ah, the joys!

Anyway though, I'm not trying to whine; for the most part I have had very easy pregnancies, for which I'm very grateful. However, if I hear "you're about ready to pop!" or "you look like you're due any day!" one more time I may have to scream! I told my friend I think I'm going to start carrying around a picture of what I looked like right before I gave birth to Payton, so people can REALLY understand what 9 months pregnant looks like. I realize I'm very round, but trust me, you ain't seen nothing yet!

Congrats to my dad on a successful first day as the Fire Chief of Tangent Fire Department! I know he'll be amazing, and am really excited about this opportunity for him. Very proud of you Chief! :)
