Hello everyone! I thought this would be a creative and fun way to keep everyone updated with our lives. We are still settling into our new house, all the furniture and stuff is in here, now it's just decorating it and making it ours. We've just been enjoying being able to come home and relax; it's still hard to realize that this house is ours! Plus, the weather here has been beautiful lately, and so we've been doing a lot of BBQing with our new grill. Yummy!
My annual evaluation for work is almost here, and I can't believe I've been out of school for almost a year already. Time has really flown, this has been such a momentous year for us! Kyle has decided to go back to school to get his master's in teaching, and we're both really excited about it. He's always wanted to teach, and now has just presented as the perfect time to go back to school. He's going to apply this summer, and if he's accepted he'll be starting school in August! He's decided to apply to the part-time degree program at Concordia University in Portland, which means that he will finish in 22 months. His classes will be 1-2 nights per week, with occasional classes on the weekends and online. He decided to do part-time so that he can work at the same time, so he'll be pretty busy. Please be thinking good thoughts and prayers about him applying to grad school, and I'll keep you posted. :)
This weekend is one of the first free weekends that Kyle and I have had in a long time, so we're looking forward to just relaxing and getting stuff done around the house. Oh yeah, and go Blazers!

Great idea, Sweetie! Hope we can get down soon to see what you've done with your home.

Yay! This is perfect for me to see what's up in your crispy-new life together. I put a shortcut on my toolbar right next to Kyanne's blog shortcut. I check hers each evening. I love Kyanne's blog and I get to see pictures of her silly dogs...
ReplyDeleteHearts,
Aunt Tanya & Uncle Bob
I am so stealing your idea!
ReplyDeleteChildren of technology...
LOVE YOU!
Carissa (& Chris!)
I think I have this figured out now, Guess I can think better in the mornings. Thoughts and Prayers for your eval. I know you will "ace" it, and for Kyle in his coming Masters work. Love you. Nana Casebolt
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are enjoying your new home and we hope to see it soon. So happy to hear about Kyle's plans to return to school there are two careers that will always be in demand and that is medical and teaching. It would also give him a chance to coach sports which I know he would enjoy. Everything here is fine just plugging along. Love and miss you both. G & G Book
ReplyDeleteAlright, my turn. All of you Casebolts and Books are so computer savy. The Halls are not as gifted. I will give it a try though.
ReplyDeleteI love the blog. No need to sign on to my space with Kyle's password anymore. Since my son isn't the best at keeping me updated, I will enjoy this site.
Sue told me about the blog at Chris' graduation party and since I am always on the computer at work why not follow your blog
